The Women and Girls of Kenya: Part 5
As I conclude sharing with you, what I have learned about the women and girls of Kenya, I am going to share more detail, about the Malkia Foundation. I already introduced you to Phionah Musumba, the Founder and Executive Director.
Though the Malkia Foundation has excepted many donations of different kinds, Phionah is looking for a partner or a financial investor, to help the foundation succeed. The ideal candidate, is someone that wants their presence to be felt in Africa, someone with heart and financial resources, to make a difference.
The core value of the Malkia Foundation, is to help empower the young girls and women of Kenya, through education and job skills, for economic and enterprise development. Here are just five ways, that a difference is already being made.
The Malkia Foundation is also in need of a volunteer, to help set up a 501 C 3 Organization, to ease the taxes that they have to pay and to help increase the donations that they receive.
Since I helped set up the gofundme account, there has been $835 donated, so far to the Malkia Foundation. The amount is greatly appreciated, though it is still far from the goal.
Phionah has left Texas and has returned to Kenya to be with her family and to continue her work. If you are interested in sending sanitary napkins or any supplies direct, here is their address:
Malkia Foundation
PO BOX 9461-00300

You can also visit their facebook page and follow what they are achieving.

My best wishes and prayers to Phionah and her journey to bring change to the future and to make a difference, for all of the young girls and women in Kenya. I wish that there was more that I could do, to help her achieve success for the Malkia Foundation.
Everyone have a marvelous week!

The core value of the Malkia Foundation, is to help empower the young girls and women of Kenya, through education and job skills, for economic and enterprise development. Here are just five ways, that a difference is already being made.
- The Malkia Foundation is working with the YWCA and the Girls Scouts of America, in Austin Texas. The YWCA has donated Computers and supplies for the Vocational College and the Girl Scouts, are starting a center in Kenya.
- The yellow bike project has been started and has had bicycle's and equipment donated. The girls and women are learning how to repair bike's to use for transportation. They need help with the cost, to ship the bike's and supplies, because it's expensive.
- A school fee sponsorship has been implemented and anyone interested, can sponsor a girl in Kenya to go to school, by paying their school fees. If you are interested, contact the Malkia Foundation.
- The Sanitary napkin program was implemented and accepts towels and the supplies to make the reusable napkins or disposable sanitary napkins, that the girls need, to be able to attend school.
- Carpentry and Masonry supplies have been collected, to help women learn to build and repair, just about anything.
The Malkia Foundation is also in need of a volunteer, to help set up a 501 C 3 Organization, to ease the taxes that they have to pay and to help increase the donations that they receive.
