A Seattle Must See: Bainbridge Island

Just across the water and a ferry ride away from Seattle, is the pristine Bainbridge Island. It's a little town and the main street, is made up of little shops, a few wine tasting rooms, and some restaurants.

I started my visit, with a wine tasting tour at a wine room called Eleven. They offer an array of wine for every palate and have one wine that has pepper, yes it is peppery, yet surprisingly good. There are a few wine tasting rooms, where you can sample up to five wines in one sitting.

From there I decided to visit the Ale House of Winslow, They offer sixteen micro beers on tap, it's clean, has a great atmosphere and offer live music. Though I'm not a big beer drinker, I tried a pint and it was good, yet strong.

My favorite stop of my evening, was for dinner at Doc's Marina Grill. Nestled on the water front, at the corner of town, it has a great atmosphere and seating.

Up to this point, the best food that I've had in the Seattle area.
The view was fantastic and my Bloody Mary was perfect. It is by far, my recommendation for dining in the Seattle area.

This is a primitive town, you won't find a Wal-Mart or any other box store retailer here. It's a sweet escape from Seattle, it's quiet and a great place to take nature walks. I took a walk along the Waterfront Trail and enjoyed the view of the water.

There is the small Bainbridge Historical Museum, that I stopped in at, it's interesting to learn the history of the area. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable on the history. It's worth it, to stop in and learn something new about the area.

My stay at the Island Country Inn was pleasant and relaxing. The price was just right thanks to hotwire.com . The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet. I was within walking distance to the down town area and had the convenience of Starbucks near by.

There is a boat rental dock, where you can rent a small boat, to do some fishing. Walking and biking are very common here for outdoor recreation. When you have decided that you have seen enough, hop on the ferry and your in Seattle in 35 minutes.

If you are visiting the Seattle area, I really recommend a visit to the beautiful Bainbridge Island.
I have one day left here and I'm not sure where I will visit. I have a friend that lives in Forks that wants me to visit, so it maybe my next stop.

Everyone have a great week!
