Unplugged
Hello everyone, I know that it has been a few months since my last blog post, my apologies for that. Have you ever looked around your living space and realize you need to make changes?
I have spent so much time over the past few years, trying to launch my writing career, that has by the way- still failed to launch. I was spending all of my free time, taking writing classes and writing and I was ignoring my surroundings.
I decided the only way to achieve my goals, is to unplug from the internet, through the summer. Over the past month, I have painted my living room, dining room and my hallway. I needed to brighten and freshen up my living space, to help inspire me and to keep me going.
I went with a light lavender for my main paint color and I'm changing out my curtains and making them all white. I decided to go for a Zen feel and so far, I'm loving it. I still have some trim work to do and my project will be complete.
I want to surround myself in colors that make me feel happy and inspired, so I turned to Feng Shui for help. There are so many books and web sights that offer great tips for decorating your space. It's all in what colors make you feel happy and enhance your mood and creativity.
I'm as guilty as the next person, when it comes to being to focused and trying to hard, to achieve success, that I ignore things that drive me crazy around the house. It's unbelievable, how fast things accumulate and pile up.
As I continue tackling my goals and my work out goals. I'm trying to teach myself how to find balance, instead of trying to do everything at once. I have been battling the procrastination of doing a final rewrite on my Screenplay for too long. I have my goal set to have it completed and ready to pitch by Labor day.
There for I will only be posting a post to this Blog once a month, so I can achieve my goals and not lose sight of what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm sure that you can all relate to this, you get home from work and say "I will only check my email".
Before you know it, you have talked to five friends on facebook, surfed the web, caught up on what's trending, checked your email and four hours have passed by. I was doing this to often, so I decided to unplug myself from the internet and plug myself back into my life.
I hope that you are all having a great Summer and are making it a goal to get out and have some fun. How would your life change, if you were to take the rest of the Summer off, unplugged from the internet? What could you accomplish for yourself?
I do have so much to share with you. I took a trip along the Oregon coast and I can't wait to show you pictures and share my experience. Everyone have a great Summer! See you next month.
