Image
Located next to the Space Needle at the Seattle Center, is the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition. It features the immaculate concept, design and art work of  Dale Chihuly.  Each piece is masterfully crafted and has a unique character. The tour begins with this glass forest display, it welcomes you into the world of the art and craft of Dale Chihuly and the beginning of the most breath taking pieces, that are on display. As you make your way through, each room has a different piece, a different vibe and each piece gives off it's own energy.  When you enter the room with the Persian Ceiling, you look up above your head and can see how each piece was carefully placed to fit together. The suspense grows with each corner that you turn, leaving you to wonder what you will see next. This is the Ikebana and Boat Float . A Taste of Seattle

Image
To kick off my week in Seattle, I had to visit the famous Pike Place Market.  I don't think I could visit any place else, that has the feel of being in culinary heaven, while having the cultural experience. It's truly the heart of Seattle. My senses came alive, the moment I stepped inside. My first stop was at Market Spice , the aromatic smells of teas and spice, wouldn't let me pass by without a tour. The walls are lined with jars of different spices and teas.  If you're a home cook, it's a great place to buy some ready made spices, from Fajita blends to Italian blends, they have it all. If you're a tea lover, as I am, there are many to chose from. I was excited to try a sample of their signature blend of  orange and spice. I left a happy tourist after buying a bag of Oolong, Market Chai and Sunset in Seattle. If fresh cut flowers are what you are looking for, there are plenty to chose from. Throughout the market, vendor's have beautiful bouquets for...

Is there Dating After 40? Other than the Internet?

Is there dating after the age of 40? Sure, there can be and it can be really scary. I have been single and have stayed away from dating and relationships, for the past four years. Yes, it was my choice, because I wanted to rediscover myself. This is the longest I have gone in my life, since I started dating in high school, of being single. I needed to give myself the time and space, to regroup and get to know myself again. I needed to shed everyone else's version of me, that they thought I should be. I have used the time to rediscover my passions in life and figure out, what I like and don't like. You know when you become involved with someone else, you take up other interests or habits. Over the years, that all adds up and sometimes, taking the time to shed the past, is the best start ever. I often get asked stupid questions, on why I'm single and what's wrong with me. I assure you, I'm alright and nothing is wrong with me, I'm single because I chose to ...

Hello my Loyal Readers, I have started doing wall art and I am selling it online. I started with a free online store site, to get started and see how I will do. My inventory is small, to get me started. I will be doing custom stuff as well. If you have a favorite catch phrase, movie line, etc. and you want to display it on your wall, I will paint the words onto canvas for you. You can pick the colors and the size that you want. I use acrylic paints on canvas and have different lettering options. No, this does not mean that I have quit writing or that I will stop writing this Blog. I enjoy painting, in between my writing projects. I love challenging myself and keeping myself busy. Here is the link to the site, where you can take a peak at what I have so far. I have more pieces coming soon. Bobbie Blodgett Creations  To celebrate my son turning 18 and graduating high school, in a few months, we are going to Seattle, on an Amtrak for Spring break.
